I have learned that a root cause analysis approach to my own healing journey helps me to enjoy my life more.
In recovering and healing from injuries from several accidents and a labral tear of my hip that required extensive surgery to repair, I found that traditional western medicine and standard physical therapy left me still in pain, walking only short distances, struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression and unable to function.
On my own healing journey, I found a root cause analysis approach to be very useful as a complement the Western medical model to increase my overall joy, enthusiasm and passion for life.
I realized the importance of not just medicating the symptoms to mask them. Discovering the root cause of my problems helps me get better results. I then created a comprehensive strategy to address all root causes that I was able to identify.
From my physical therapy education and years of experience as a licensed physical therapist, I had learned to analyze the root cause of mobility problems I observed like unsteadiness or difficulty walking. I used the same mindset to analyze the root causes of my continued struggles beyond what traditional Western healthcare offered me.
I have discovered that root causes analysis across multiple body systems and innovative strategies to address the root causes of my symptoms makes me feel empowered and enthusiastic about living my life.
I still occasionally suffer from pain, anxiety, dizziness, symptoms of vertigo and loss of balance but I don’t wonder why anymore. I know why.
So I can breathe, smile and enjoy my life because now I understand what is happening to me and I know what I can do about it. I am able to monitor my symptoms of dizziness and vertigo, as well as pain and emotional fluctuations, to take appropriate action as I go along.
I use my tools and strategies to address the root causes of my discomfort and my life is more enjoyable.
My comprehensive methodology, The Bell Method, is grounded solidly in the Western science-based Physical Therapy standard of care, advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation strategies and evidence-based Geriatric best practices for fall prevention.
Now I also integrate root cause analysis across multiple body systems and unique, detailed strategies to address the root causes that I find in my patients’ cases.

This is one of my favorite Bible passages about strength in times of difficulty:
“I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

It would be nice to know what specifically you did to heal yourself. This article is very vague.
Hi Rochelle,
I have done many things over the course of many years to heal myself, and continue with alot of self-care today and everyday.
Everyone is different, so what worked for me may not be appropriate for you. That is why I was intentionally vague about sharing the details.
The most important step for each person is to discover the root cause of the symptoms, then the treatment plan can be developed.
